SBWP welcomes Tort Paralegal Deborah Arnold to the team. Deborah has more than 30 years of experience as a legal secretary and paralegal. Prior to moving here, she worked at a law office in Abingdon, VA.
“We were extremely impressed with Deborah’s resume,” said Attorney at Law, Dustin Humphrey. “She is experienced in complicated injury litigation and is already lending tremendous assistance on our tort cases.”
While working for a real estate title company in her hometown of Beaumont, TX, both her aunt and a close friend inspired Deborah to pursue a career as a paralegal. Following their advice, she enrolled in Lamar University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree and Paralegal Certificate.
Over the years, Deborah has assisted on cases of plaintiff personal injury, capital criminal cases, probate defense, general civil litigation, and toxic tort defense litigation. At SBWP, Deborah is now responsible for managing and assisting attorneys primarily with injury litigation.
Having lived in Texas, Florida, and Virginia, Deborah is really enjoying her transition to Kentucky. “I love living in the area because it is so steeped in history and I also love the horses,” said Deborah. “I feel very fortunate to join the team at SBWP. They are a great group of people who provide their clients with top-notch support often during some of life’s most difficult times.”
Deborah lives with her partner, who was recently transferred to Fort Knox, their two cats, Mimi and Mollie, and dog, Jordan. She is the oldest of six children. Her younger sister Diana passed away due to complications from Down Syndrome several years ago. That’s why Deborah is always looking for opportunities to support Special Olympics and plans to do so here in Kentucky.
We are excited to add yet another great legal professional to our team.
