Finding and hiring the right lawyer can be an intimidating task. Simply looking in the phone book or following an advertisement doesn’t always ensure a good attorney. How should you approach finding a lawyer that will be able to adequately help you with your serious case?
At SBWP, we believe the most important resource to use in finding the right lawyer is a referral from someone you trust. Talk to people in the community that have experienced the same problem you are facing. Chances are you will come away with good advice of who to turn to, or in some cases, who NOT to turn to.
We don’t recommend just picking a lawyer solely on the basis of someone else’s recommendation, though. Different people will have different responses to a lawyer’s style and personality. Before making any decision, we advise you to meet personally with the attorney and be comfortable with their working style, qualifications and expectations. It is also vital to understand the fee arrangement and timeline for the case. If you meet with the attorney and do not feel comfortable hiring him or her, continue seeking other legal counsel until you find someone you can trust.
At SBWP, our experienced attorneys live and work in the local community. We have helped thousands of clients over the years, and we will continue to be a trusted resource in our region.
